Sam Choy's Kai Lanai

The food was good. I had Short Ribs, my wife had Catch of the day. Both well prepared and generous portions. We were too full for dessert. The staff very friendly and attentive. The Mai Tai's were excellent. The view was nice. Very pleasant evening.

This place was pretty terrible. The bill themselves as a fancy and award winning place but it turns out that Sam Choy sold it years ago. The food costs way to much for the quality. My wife's duck was so overcooked. No one should ever cook duck that much. It took forever to just have the hostess show up to the front and even though we had a reservation we had to wait for them to find us a table.

We enjoyed the dining so much on our first night in town that we came back 3 more times in a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Friendly service. Quality food w/ great selections for vegetarian gluten-free diners, too. For breakfast - fried rice 'n eggs plate - 'ono' . Panoramic ocean views are most enjoyable when you cast your gaze above the shopping center below.
